Thank you for your interest in the Sabine District Transportation Club!
Sabine District Transportation Club originated
in 1931. This year we celebrate 80 years in the Golden
Triangle. The Sabine
District Transportation Club (SDTC) is a club of professional men and women in
the transportation industries both locally and as far away as the Houston and
Lake Charles areas.
We proudly sponsor scholarships each year that include: dependent children
attending college, and member scholarships for those returning to school.
Depending on the success of our various fund-raisers, at times we are able to
sponsor additional scholarships as well as make charitable contributions to
local charities that are in need of assistance.
Our club schedule of events is listed under our events tab. There are
several meetings a year in which we have guest speakers as well as several
fund-raisers that are traditionally held throughout the year:
Annual April Shrimp Boil
Spring Golf Tournament in May
Celebration of National Transportation Week
Fish Fry in July
BBQ dinner sales
Annual Christmas Party in December
Other months, our club members can be found in meetings with various guest
speakers of interest to the Transportation Industry.
Each month our newsletter, The Equalizer, is printed and forwarded to each of
our members. This keeps them informed of the club's activities as well as
providing an insight to the future events. You can reach the Equalizer from the
tab to the left as well.
The cost for membership is listed on the application form. This fee includes the
cost/handling of the Equalizer as well as Membership Certificates which will be
mailed to you.
For additional information, please feel free to phone our secretary, Sherry
Eckerle, at 409-791-3259 or contact any of our Board Members.
